About Halisi Creations and Designs Profile

Halisi Creations and Designs is a business that works with women and youth from low income communities to create quality and affordable clothing items. Since 2014, we have had the privilege of producing and delivering school uniforms to over 50 schools reaching 17,000 students in different parts of Kenya working with over 40 women and youth. We are passionate about making school uniforms because having a uniform helps build the confidence of a child and keep them in school. Our mission is to reach students across Kenya and the rest of East Africa even as we continue to economically empower and provide opportunities for women and youth in our communities.

Grace’s Story

My name is Grace Bahati and I am a business entrepreneur. I was raised in Mathare, one of the largest slums in East Africa. In the midst of great lack and a lot challenges, my mother ran a business to fend for my siblings and I. It was not easy, but she taught me how to work, how to do business and how to use that to uplift myself and others around me. This is why I founded Halisi Creations and Designs to work with women; so that they can support their children and teach them to succeed also.
