Uganda has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the Sub Saharan Africa region with 24% being pregnant before the age of 18. 35% of girls drop out of school because of early marriage.
Our Challenge
Similar to all the countries we work in, Uganda is plagued with untrained teachers, families unable to afford school and uniform fees and lack of resources.
Our Solution
Our three partnerships focus on providing uniforms to orphans, families under the critical poverty line and students who dropped out because they didn’t have the mandatory uniform.
