There are numerous challenges to getting children educated in Kenya. Across our four Kenyan partnerships, proper teacher training, feeding programs, gender-based violence prevention, girls menstrual hygiene, empowerment curriculum and addressing the whole child are the main obstacles.
We have carefully chosen partners who provide critical interventions that compliment school uniforms and also demonstrate the ability to scale with us. As such, Kenya will remain our largest focus.
In Kenya, the primary school drop-out rate is 27.2% and only 42% of girls and 40% of boys are enrolled in secondary school.
