Sunday Best

“Joseph” is a parent to 17 children, including twelve children of his own and five orphaned children left after the death of his sister. He has been taking care of his orphaned nieces and nephews for the last four years and it is a huge burden on him, considering he has little to no income. He says that there are many days he has no work. He enrolled the children in school after learning about the uniform program at Mucibau Primary. Joseph told us that the uniforms his children receive are a huge resource. Since he has no money to buy extra clothes for the children, they wear school uniforms at home. In his words, “The uniforms are their Sunday best.”
