Our Challenge
In Rwanda, only 5% of those enrolled in secondary school actually attend. Half the country lives below the poverty line and can’t afford school fees. Many schools can’t afford to properly pay their teachers.
Our Solution
Our partnership with Komera is reaching extremely rural areas – in some cases it’s the first time the kids have ever seen a visitor outside of their community and for many it is the first new piece of clothing they have ever owned.
I am so happy for this uniform, I used to miss classes many times because of lacking the school uniform but now my problem is solved. I will attend the school every day and also pass national exams well.
